Hey rebels,
Can’t believe another week has gone… time flies, doesn’t it?
Since the launch of the Breaking Chains the whole topic about being rebellious came up more often in conversations than before. So I thought why not make this issue all be about that…
Just like any idea/concept/term - different people perceive rebels in different ways…
Some are thinking of this, for example 👇
He’s one of the well-known punks from Camden. I took the shot there - the place where the punk movement was born. I go to Camden at times when I want to be among misfits, weirdos, crazy ones, artist, ravers, etc…… to breath in the free spirit of those people and detach from the “normal”.
And yes, I am a rebel too but no I don’t look like that… (hopefully the middle-age crisis won’t get so bad that eventually I do…).
Not all rebels are the same and not always you can spot them just by their appearance.
So what does it mean to be a rebel?
Obviously I can only share my own version. So here it is:
Unlike what many may think, being a rebel isn’t about breaking rules or defying authority.
It's about embracing your true self and standing up for what you believe in…
Always!
… especially when it goes against the grain.
A rebel questions the status quo.
All the time…
They see possibilities where others see obstacles.
They challenge norms not for the sake of it, but because they believe there’s a better way.
Rebels are the dreamers, the innovators, the ones who push boundaries and provoke change.
Being a rebel means having the courage to be different.
It’s about staying true to your values, even when it’s tough.
It’s about taking risks and stepping into the unknown because you trust your vision and your gut.
Rebels aren’t afraid of failure. They see it as a stepping stone to success.
At its core being a rebel is about freedom.
Freedom to think, to create, to be who you truly are without fear.
It’s about living authentically and inspiring others to do the same.

Breaking Chains Rock Song?!
You might not know this, but I had mentioned in a few Twitter Spaces the fact that I dreamed to write lyrics for a rock song…
Little did I know that one day there would be one with my words in it…:)
Last week Rick sent me a link with the audio of the song shared in this newsletter… I wrote that copy as part of story/content for the Breaking Chains… and he did his magic working with AI to end up with what we have here.
So now Breaking Chains and its rebel community, thanks to Rick has its own rock song!

We all had dreams before
And we believed we’d achieve them
Until…
life happened
And we were not so sure anymore
Just because
we didn’t want from life what others did
did not want to settle and lead a “normal” life
did not do things the way everyone else did
We were misunderstood
Thought of as
Crazy, misfits and weirdos
Until slowly…
Year after year…
The dreams we once had
And believed would come true
Felt unreachable
That rebel spirit of ours
Got buried deep inside
Under the weight of
Social pressure
Expectations
Responsibilities
And we surrendered…
Slowly becoming what they wanted us to be
Followed the crowd
Got that job
Did everything by the book…
And ended up unhappy
Because although that rebel spirit was buried
it never died
WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS
The dreams we once had and forgot about
Deserve to come true
We may be different
But that’s what makes us cool
We’re gonna break one chain at a time
And be free
To be
who we really are
Lead
the life we want
Live
our dreams
And create and build
what matters to us.
