The Origin Story of NFTUK
Hey there! Hope all of you rebels are doing well.
For me, it’s been a roller coaster…. but this issue is not about me, so let’s dive in to today’s topic.

Last weekend I recoded another Non-Fungible Rebels episode. This time I spoke to one of the most genuine and kind people in the space: Mila Lolli.
I met her a few years ago, back in the days when NFTs were hyped, artists were happy and everything was way more different than it is now.
I went to one of the first NFTUK meetups here in London and fell in love with the community that she had built.

These days somehow creating has became a bigger need for me and in the past few weeks I’ve been experimenting with stuff…
And it feels like an NFT collection with an overarching theme of “escaping 9-5” is shaping up.
Not yet sure about the details (final format, mint, etc…) but eventually I am sure it’s gonna live somewhere on the blockchain and later be linked to some peoples’ wallets. Most probably it’s just a matter of time.

Looking up at the sky… at the unreachable clouds.
Wishing he could fly and reach them.
But he’s stuck…
Stuck in the corporate rat race which never ends.
For days, months, years…
His young years, his best years are melting with each mile.
What’s the final destination?
Why is he even doing that?
He desperately wants to escape… but where?
He can now wear expensive suits… expensive shoes… look at the expensive watch…
They cost him way more than the number on the price tag though.
He is giving up his dreams and his freedom with each sunrise. Over and over again.
For what?
Stability….?
Nah - rather the illusion of it.
He wants to escape… but how?
The mortgage, his wife’s expectations and the monthly bills make him stay.
He and many like him are… trapped!
Or… are they really?
